From bolos and bracelets to soft-square rings, Gerry Dilschneider of Bow River Studio handcrafts his unique pieces from first cut to final polish. Bolos shown are made from fossilized dinosaur bone from Utah (on left) and petrified palm root from Sumatra, Indonesia, and set in sterling silver with custom-made tips ($175 each). A slide, also designed by Dilschneider, prevents wear to the Navajo hand-braided leather cords. A selection of Dilschneider’s pieces can be purchased at the Glenbow Museum Shop.
