Connected by a shared interest of sculptural form and object design, local artists Kristine Zingeler and Kate Husted have melded their creative practices in a collaboration called Husted & Zingeler. The pieces combine Husted’s wheel-thrown pottery with Zingeler’s intricate line carvings to create a breathtaking product line that exhibits the duo’s explorations into texture and carved pattern.

The Frey Lamp ($1,000) bases are black stoneware glazed in matte white thrown by Husted with Zingeler’s Frey pattern carved into it. “We wanted the lamps to feel contemporary but warm, like something worthy of becoming an heirloom,” says Husted. Each lamp is finished with brass hardware, a white linen shade and black cloth cord making it an eye-catching piece for anyone looking to add an artful piece of light to their home.
