Calgary-based artist Michelle Atkinson of Jewelnotes uses a technique called kiln forming to melt glass into organic shapes for designs ranging from jewellery to home decor. These coral-inspired bowls ($120 and $60, as shown) pay homage to her childhood family vacations spent at the ocean, where she was taken with the textures and mystery of aquatic life.
