If you’re looking to upgrade your yoga mat, Calgary-based Corq may have just what you need. Made from agglomerated cork harvested in Portugal, the surface of the Corq yoga mat offers high functionality with a natural appearance. Cork has both natural anti-slip and anti-microbial properties which means it lends itself to even the most intensely sweaty hot yoga sessions, though it can be used to practice at any level. While there are other cork-based yoga mats on the market, owner John Gardiner says the unique design and the high quality of the cork sets Corq apart from the competition. The Corq Mat sells for $110 and comes with a carrying strap.
