This Swimsuit is Inspired by the Creeks of Kananaskis

It’s from Calgary-based designer Julia Barnes and her company Honubelle.

With only about two-and-a-half months of comfortable outdoor swimming weather each year, Calgary might not seem like an obvious home for a swimwear designer, but Julia Barnes defies the odds with her company Honubelle. Inspired by the crystal-clear mountain creeks of Kananaskis, Barnes says she wanted to create a suit that is both sporty and sexy. Her “superior one piece,” shown here in lava-print ($205), covers and holds everything in all the right places and has a deep V cut in the back, adding a sultry design element. Whether you want to hit the waves with a surfboard, or lounge poolside with a good book, this suit will make you look and feel good while doing it.
