It’s no secret that Calgarians like their outdoor activities. And now, fans of both fitness and “fash-lectics” are in for a treat come fall 2016. Sporting Life, one of Canada’s most prestigious sporting goods and lifestyle retailer, is expanding into western Canada for the first time.
Come 2016, Southcentre Mall will house a 46,000-square-foot Sporting Life store. The store prides itself on embracing sporting lifestyle unlike any other store: expect to find quality outdoor and fitness brands like Canada Goose, Arcteryx, Asics, Nike and The North Face, as well as high-end fashion brands including Hugo Boss and Ralph Lauren. The store will also sell sports equipment including bikes, skis, snowboards and racquets.
“It’s an exciting time for us at Sporting Life”, says David Russell, the co-founder of Sporting Life. “We are looking forward to the challenge of delivering a great shopping experience to the people of Calgary soon!”
In addition to this national expansion, there will also be two new locations in Ontario. A 30,000-square-foot store will open in Markham’s Markville Mall this fall and a 42,000-square-foot store will open in Ottawa’s Lansdowne Park this October.
