Super Lime Margarita from Surfy Surfy

The icy, citrusy zing of a lime margarita is the only drink I want in summer. Luckily, Calgary’s margarita game is strong, with lots of restaurants slinging the classic drink. The version that’s at the top of my early summer sipping list is the super lime margarita from Surfy Surfy, featuring fresh lime and kafir leaf for a super-concentrated drink from beginning to end. Go during happy hour, weekdays 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and pair with a taco for perfect summery vibes. —Meredith Bailey, director of strategy and content
Aurelia Necklace by Petite Gold

I stumbled upon a Petite Gold vendor stand and was instantly drawn to its minimalist-style jewellery with thoughtful details. The Aurelia Necklace, with its square mother-of-pearl pendant and a unique sparkle to its chain, was an easy purchase. I’ve been wearing and loving it ever since. It’s the perfect everyday piece if you’re looking for a gold-plated, locally made necklace with an approachable price point. —Olivia Piché, contributing editor
Signature Curry from Kondattam

I eat a lot of curry, so I was excited when Kondattam, a new pan-Indian restaurant, opened up. The Kondattam Signature Curry is made with 16 different spices, and is one of the most complex and flavourful curries I’ve had in a long time. It’s warm, and just spicy enough to make you sweat a little. My choice would be chicken, but it is also available with other proteins, like egg, red snapper, beef and goat. —Chris Landry, assistant editor
