If you’re tired of endless swiping, one-sided conversations over a tiny screen and terrible first dates that suck the life out of you, then the next seven weeks might be the cure to your dating app woes.
Starting January 7, the 17th Avenue Retail & Entertainment BIA is giving you that extra nudge to delete the apps and inviting you to come down to the Red Mile for its seven-week calendar of events featuring drag shows, singles mixers, speed dating, wine tasting, karaoke nights and much, much more. These events are open to everyone and anyone —gender or preference as long as you are 18 or older.
Get Off the Apps and Onto the Ave brings several events to popular 17th Avenue spots like MOVE, who will be offering Singles Yoga, HIIT and Spin Classes, Taboo Topics Discussion at Body By Chai, a Drag Brunch at Blanco Cantina, and a Self-Care Workshop at Intrinsi.
With events being added daily and more than 34 (and counting) 17th Avenue businesses hosting events, there will be no shortage of things to do this winter on 17th Avenue.
The calendar of events will run until February 28, so be sure to check out the website (www.17thave.ca/apps) or our social media channels (@17thavesw) to follow along for new events, exclusive deals, discounts and more!
