Celebrate the Holiday Season on 17th Ave

17th Avenue is the place to be for shopping and holiday fun all season long

The holiday season officially kicks off this month on 17th Avenue. Celebrate the season with shopping deals and family-friendly fun with events beginning in November and running into the New Year.

Black Friday

On Friday, November 29, Black Friday is the shopping event we’ve been waiting for all year.

The shops and services along the Red Mile have major sales starting November 28th that run all Black Friday weekend long. With savings up to 50 per cent off everything from winter wear to home decor to health and wellness to framing, there is something for everyone!

Visit Calgary’s favourite shopping district starting this Black Friday and find the unexpected at the most exclusive shops the city has to offer. The Ave features some of the best, most eclectic retailers, so it’s easy to find a one-of-a-kind gift find for everyone on your list. Check out the deals here!

Holidays on 17th

On Saturday, November 30 and December 7, celebrate with friends and family at the annual Holidays on 17th event. Featuring carolling, visits with Santa, live music, free ceramic painting, games and giveaways, it’s guaranteed to put you in a festive mood.

Want to give back and take a photo with Santa? No problem! This year’s Holidays on 17th celebrations will be accepting food donations to support our fellow Calgarians. To participate, book a photo with Santa by purchasing a $5 food donation bag from our partners at Urban Fare. Even if you don’t want a formal photo, everyone is encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the Calgary Food Bank, which will have donation bins at the event. For a complete schedule and more information, visit the Holidays on 17th event page here.

Happy Holidays to you and yours!
