Every month, Avenue’s A-List membership offers members exclusive access to the city’s best events. March is proving to be a busy month with a variety of exciting experiences for A-Listers, each of which is promised to come with VIP treatment. A-Listers don’t have to worry about a thing when they’re out on the town, and it’s as easy as signing up, browsing upcoming events and using their A-Dollars towards experiences of their choice.

Expect a special wow factor at every event. Whether it’s an intimate evening with exclusive wines, where the bill and tip are taken care of, or a culinary class where you bring home a treat and a special item, there’s something for everyone.

Here are a few of March’s events.

Enjoy high tea while making a difference

On March 7, join Inn From the Cold at The Brownstone for their International Women’s Day M-Power Brunch. The event supports Emma House, Inn From the Cold’s housing program for expectant mothers experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. The M-Power Brunch offers an elegant high tea experience with gourmet bites, a live harpist and inspiring stories from those whose lives have been impacted by Emma House.

Cook some meat and savour some beer

The Cookbook Co. hosts a hands-on culinary class for all things meat and beer, called Meat Meets Beer, on March 10. Chef Craig Westhaver — also the resident beer expert at Metrovino — will host the class, where A-Listers will learn all about meat-forward dishes and the perfect brew to go with.

Learn to make crêpes

On March 14, A-Listers can learn to make the perfect crêpe with a chef-led cooking class by The Cookbook Co. A-Listers will discover whether they love the French delicacy sweet, with caramelized bananas, or savoury, with mushroom, prosciutto and Swiss cheese or lamb and ricotta. Plus, they’ll get to bring home their own crêpe pan.

Celebrate Calgary’s Best Restaurants

Join the Avenue team at the intimate Chef’s Celebration held at Maisie Eatery on March 16. This insider event brings together the chefs and restaurateurs from the Best Restaurants and Best New Restaurants featured in the current issue of Avenue. These tickets are only available to Avenue A-List members and invited guests.

Have a Big Night Out at the Big Ball

The Big Ball, an annual event of celebration, dancing and community impact, returns on March 20. This year, the party-filled evening supports the Calgary Health Foundation and celebrates this local charity now in its 30th anniversary year. Enjoy a night of great food and drinks, and show off your moves on the dance floor, all in the name of raising funds to advance Calgary’s health care.

The 2026 Big Ball at Hotel Arts in support of Calgary Health Foundation promises to be a glamorous evening of community, fun and philanthropy.

Indulge in an evening of Spanish wine

Enter Hotel Arts Kensington’s brand-new private dining room for an intimate multi-course dinner with wine pairings. The March 25 event will guide A-Listers through an exceptional progression of Spanish wines. Expect a selection of Rioja-focused wines, including Monopole, Viña Real Rosado, Cune Reserva, Contino Reserva, and the legendary Imperial Gran Reserva.
