Experience the First TRIBUTE to Craft Spirits Festival in Banff

This can’t-miss craft distillery showcase is a new addition to the popular January SnowDays festival.

The Smoked Maple Sazerac from Balkan Restaurant.

Every January Banff and Lake Louise invite people to come embrace winter and all of the fun activities it offers during SnowDays. In 2019 the festival will run from Jan. 16 – 27, and feature snow sculptures in downtown Banff, Ice Magic in Lake Louise and, new this year, the TRIBUTE to Craft Spirits Festival.

This event will showcase some of the best craft distilleries from Alberta and British Columbia, as well as the local cocktail and food scene. Special cocktail menus will be available at all participating restaurants from Jan. 16 – 27. Try incredibly creative and delicious drinks like a Smoked Maple Sazerac, The Dragon’s Mistress or the Wild Cucumber Gimlet.

On Jan. 26 and 27 the festival will culminate in an outdoor two-day discovery event from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Bear Street in downtown Banff. This event will feature 18 stations representing nine regional craft distilleries and nine local bars and restaurants, which will be offering tastings of their own spirits and hors d’oeuvres, all made with local ingredients. Get a chance to meet the distillers and chefs as you tour the different stations.

The discovery event is free to attend and tasting coupons will be available for purchase onsite. For full details on the TRIBUTE to Craft Spirits Festival visit: spiritsfest.tributetocraft.com
