Immerse yourself in a simple but gratifying menu with flavours that truly stand out, like in the roasted vegetable and whipped feta sharable plate. “The vegetables are roasted and seasoned simply with salt & pepper to let their natural flavours come through,” says Chef Hicks. “However, the robust flavour of the dukkha spice and flavour-forward feta are there to compliment them and add depth to the dish.” Similarly, Chef Hicks describes the whisky braised Alberta bison as being “perfectly complimented with our robust house chimichurri.”
The carefully crafted seasonal menu was created by Chef Hicks, though he worked with the entire team to round out and perfect each and every dish. Hicks and his team curated a menu that combines traditional Canadian food curated from fresh ingredients and local meat sourced from Rocky Mountain Game Meats. The menu keeps in mind a healthy nutritional balance and preserves wholesome goodness, with an aim to create the most authentic Albertan experience for locals and travellers alike.
Shoe & Canoe is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. for breakfast, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for lunch, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for happy hour and from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. for dinner.
