Enjoy the finer things in life in wine country, where spectacular views, rejuvenating accommodation and world-class wines come together — all at Quails’ Gate Winery. Just steps away from the Okanagan Lake, acres of pristine vineyards line the estate and welcome locals and visitors alike.
Marking its 35th anniversary, Quails’ Gate Winery is preparing a new experience. Starting this spring, guests can take part in an immersive walking tour to The Market, through the vines and into the Stewart Family Wine Library. And, of course, sample tastings from an award-winning wine collection and culinary delights from the Old Vines Restaurant.
“We have been farming this valley for more than 60 years, and 2024 marks our 35th anniversary,” says Tony Stewart, proprietor and CEO of Quails’ Gate. “In celebration, we are hosting a series of immersive experiences including wine tastings, tours and long table vineyard dinners.”
Since its establishment in 1989, Quails’ Gate Winery has become a leading producer of BC’s premier wines. The estate is also home to one of Open Table’s best 100 restaurants and luxurious accommodations.
More than awards, innovation and good wine, the winery has heart and soul. Over four generations of the Stewart family have proudly farmed these beautiful Okanagan lands now home to Quails’ Gate Winery. Today, the winery remains as beautiful as ever with some of the valley’s best views and finest wines — a great reason to make a trip to the Okanagan Valley.
Wine
As one of the original wineries in the Okanagan, the estate’s vines have been planted and fruitful for more than three decades. Over the years, Quails Gate has crafted quality wines from its rich soil and made its mark in the region. In 2023, the winery took home 10 gold medals from the WineAlign National Wine Awards of Canada, a testimony to its highly sought-after wines.
The goal at Quails’ Gate Winery is to provide elevated, authentic hospitality experiences to everyone who visits the estate. From immersive vineyard experiences to thoughtfully paired food and wine tastings, every experience is curated with the guest in mind. “We hope to host you at our estate this year, but until then, let our wine transport you to the panoramic beauty of the Okanagan Valley,” says Stewart.
Dine
Quails’ Gate prides itself on putting forward a wine-led dining experience sure to please the palate. Old Vines Restaurant offers a thoughtfully curated food selection made with fresh ingredients from seasonal local farms and suppliers. Guests can enjoy contemporary cuisine made to pair perfectly with Quails’ Gate wines. From venison striploin and 48-hour short rib to Salt Spring Island mussels and artisanal cheese selections, there are delicious flavours to suit every palate. Stop in for brunch, lunch, happy hour or dinner. Just bring your passion for food and wine, and the team at Old Vines Restaurant will take care of the rest.
Stay
With everything on offer at the estate, you’ll want to stay a while. Quails’ Gate offers elegant lakefront accommodation at its Lake House, making wine country living that much more accessible (and tempting!). Located on the shores of Okanagan Lake, the Lake House lets you enjoy incredible Okanagan Valley views from dawn until dusk. Wander over to the winery whenever it suits you.
