Come visit with Santa
From Tuesday to Sunday until Christmas, kids and families can come to Destination: Deerfoot City to visit Santa Claus. Book your visit today and capture the moment with two digital keepsake photos, which feature glowing trees in the backdrop. The base package starts at $29, with additional print options available.
On Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Deerfoot City also hosts a free, holiday-themed storytime and craft with Santa. Kids can play in the Snowball Slopes, sliding down into a winter-themed ball pit and, on Saturdays and Sundays, decorate a special treat from Lina’s Italian Market Hall, Cobs Bread or Tim Hortons, depending on the weekend.
Hop aboard for a sleigh ride
Starting November 29, families can enjoy a sleigh ride at Deerfoot City — the only shopping centre in the city to offer this holiday opportunity. Hop aboard a Clydesdale-drawn carriage and head out on a ride to enjoy the holiday lights. The sleigh rides run on Fridays from 4 to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 3 to 6 p.m. Pricing is $10 for an individual ticket, or save a few bucks by booking a group ride for $35 for up to five people.
A Christmas shopping destination
Shop from over 50 retailers at Deerfoot City, and take your time doing it with the extended holiday hours on Thursdays to Saturdays from December 13 to 27 and December 29, when the centre will open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Deerfoot City offers unique retailers, like the Bass Pro Shops Outpost and a new Crumbl Cookie store opening November 29. And there’s more than just shopping. Visitors can also entertain themselves at fun places like The Rec Room and iFly.
The season of giving

The elves will wrap your gifts by donation to support Kids Up Front Calgary, an organization that provides enriching experiences to kids in need. Deerfoot City is also collecting non-perishable food donations for the Calgary Food Bank until December 24.
