Join Canadian Pacific (CP) and Homes for Heroes Foundation on June 2 at Ogden Yard, for a free family-fun event in support of Canadian veterans and Canadian Armed Forces Day!
CP has a long history of supporting armed forces and veterans, dating back to the Confederation of Canada. Today, many of our country’s heroes are without homes, due to the challenges they face transitioning out of active duty.
Homes for Heroes Foundation is a Calgary-based organization building tiny homes for veterans battling homelessness.
On June 2, CP and Homes for Heroes Foundation are helping raise awareness about veteran homelessness and supporting transitional housing, with the Spin for a Veteran fundraising event.
Teams of CP employees, local companies and emergency services, will be competing in a 24-hour spin bike competition, with a goal to raise $400,000 towards building four new homes in Calgary’s new veterans’ village.
Come celebrate Canadian Armed Forces Day and bring out the whole family to CP’s beautiful Ogden Yard, to cheer on participating spin teams and enjoy a fun-filled day of FREE activities, including:
- Bouncy house obstacle course
- Face painting
- Butterfield Acres petting farm and pony rides
- CP mini-train rides
- Horse regiments
- CP’s Heart House
- Ogden Pipe Band
- Food trucks / Ice cream trucks and much more…
Adults can visit CP’s three historic locomotives located on property, in addition to a variety of military vehicle displays, a weapons exhibit, and multiple other booths, hosted by event sponsors and guests.
