The new Thomsons Kitchen & Bar offers Canadian cookery presented in a contemporary manner. Hyatt Regency Calgary’s renewed signature restaurant focuses on shared plates that are ingredient driven with sections dedicated to innovative yet comforting vegetable-forward cuisines and homecooked classics. The gastronomy is matched by industrial and mid-century modern interiors featuring low level lighting, brightly colored seatings and live edge dining tables.
Executive Chef Geoff Miller is on a journey to deliver food that is thoughtfully sourced and carefully served. This philosophy is reflected on Thomsons’ seasonal line-up showcasing fresh local ingredients prepared with an international flair. Featured dishes on the upcoming fall/winter menu include roasted bone marrow, pan-roasted scallops, bison tartare, grilled halloumi cheese with radishes, Ōra King salmon and Alberta steaks. The cake of the week is a new signature offering in which a fun flavored three-layered confectionery is introduced every week – it is best shared!
Served daily from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM is Happy Hour. The drink specials are premium wines and local ale plus light fares that are specially priced. Ideal for those who wish to stay a little longer in downtown after work.
Patrons would be delighted to learn that Thomsons Kitchen & Bar is introducing a new concept of brunch. Available on Sundays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the special brunch offers a delicious array of à la carte entrées which includes classic eggs benedict, Alberta steak and eggs, crispy pork belly hash and berry French toast, to name a few. Guests can choose their brunch favorite from the sumptuous selection which will be served hot and fresh, from pan to plate. The addition of an all-day prime rib during Sundays makes the brunch experience even more tempting. Classic Caesar cocktail, Bloody Mary, draft beer and mimosa are also available by the glass.
