As we warmly welcome you back to the Calgary Zoo, we’re delighted to offer a physically distanced world wildlife experience you’ll never forget! A new, safety-minded one-way route is sure to delight, bring wonder and connect you to nature in fun, playful and educational ways.
Plenty to Explore
Indoor and outdoor viewing is open, along with playgrounds throughout the zoo. Travel to the polar waters of Penguin Plunge. Hike up through the Rockies to find bighorn sheep, caribou, otters, grizzlies, cougars, moose and many more animals who call Canada home. Safari through the Savannah to see hippos, giraffes, meerkats, lions and lemurs roaming. Trek to the Rainforest as you visit the chameleons, crocodiles and gorillas. Meander through the tranquility and serenity of the ornamental Dorothy Harvie Gardens and ENMAX Conservatory. Venture east to see the playful antics of the Japanese macaques and red pandas. Be sure not to miss the majestic Amur tigers and snow leopards while you’re there. Then head back in time through Prehistoric Park.
Face coverings are recommended for ages 2+ and are required inside buildings from August 1, in accordance with City of Calgary Bylaw 26M2020. Be sure to bring yours with you when you visit!
