The Branch Out Neurological Foundation is proud to present Your Brain on Art, an exclusive
evening where science and creativity meet in unforgettable ways. The event takes place on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Calgary’s iconic Major Tom Bar, and proceeds go towards supporting brain health research across the country.
Ten of Branch Out’s funded neuroscience researchers have teamed up with ten Canadian artists— including Mandy Stobo, McKenna Prather and Artrophy — to create original works debuting at the event.
Each piece transforms cutting-edge research on conditions such as autism, Alzheimer’s, concussion, substance abuse, depression, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s, stroke, epilepsy and multiple sclerosis into visual storytelling. The artwork will be for sale at the event, with proceeds going towards advancing research across Canada. The event aims to raise $100,000 to fund future innovative neuroscience projects.
What to expect
The evening will feature a live painting by McKenna Prather, live music from 2024 Songwriter of the Year (YYC Music Awards) Matt Blais, signature cocktails and culinary creations by Major Tom Bar and, of course, a curated auction of 10 never-before-seen paintings inspired by real neuroscience research projects.
Guests will have the chance to connect directly with the artists, explore their creations and discover how complex science was transformed into captivating works of art. The evening also offers a rare opportunity to hear from the scientists driving real change in neurological health.
“This event is about translating groundbreaking brain research into something people can see, feel, and connect with,” says Aleia Robin, executive director of Branch Out Neurological Foundation. “It’s a night where neuroscience becomes visual storytelling — and we’re thrilled to bring it to life at Major Tom.”
All artwork will be available for bidding during Your Brain on Art through the online auction platform Auctria, allowing guests both in Calgary and beyond to take part.
