Don your best pink outfit and head to Telus Spark to take in its latest exhibition that is an ode to the iconic Barbie doll.

Running until September 10, Barbie: A Cultural Icon covers Barbie’s 60+ year history through more than 300 artifacts like vintage dolls, fashion pieces, videos and more. The exhibit’s arrival in Calgary couldn’t be more timely considering the success of director Greta Gerwig’s film Barbie that’s in theatres right now.

Guests can expect a wide range of brightly coloured attractions, including a look at the original 1959 Barbie doll and life-sized props/settings like an empty Barbie box, a pink corvette and a Dream House living room for photo ops. There are also special Barbie-themed snacks during the exhibit’s run, including Paradise Popcorn and The Dream Cone from the Astronaut Ice Cream Café.

And if you can’t get enough of Barbie, Telus Spark is holding an adults-only Paint the Night Pink event on August 25 where you get access to the exhibition and attractions like dry-hair blowouts, a drag show, themed drinks and snacks and more.
