Calgary’s first annual Spanish Festival is a five-day affair, events run April 24 to 28, that celebrates the food, music, art and culture of Spain in various venues around the city.
It looks like a fun and fiery festival that offers a break from our snowy spring. April is a light festival month, most run in the summer, so the Spanish Festival is a welcome addition to the city’s calendar.
Events include a screening of the Spanish film “Volver”, an evening of Flamenco guitar music with Pedro Sierra, Flamenco dance lessons and a Spanish cuisine cooking class.
Wednesday and Saturday evening events have already sold out, so don’t wait to buy tickets.
