Finish off the summer in style at Arts Commons’ summer send-off party on August 30. Party in the Plaza is a can’t-miss concert and your opportunity to see major Canadian artists like electro-pop sensation (and Calgarian) Kiesza, as well as Kardinal Offishall, who is often referred to as Canada’s “hip-hop ambassador.” And the best part? The concert is free to attend.

Starting at 7 p.m., the party will kick off with a 10 at 10 showcase celebrating the 50th anniversary of hip-hop with local artists like Dragon Fli Empire, Dozie, Sinzere and more. Stick around after the showcase to catch the headliner performances by Kiesza and Kardinal Offishal. There will also be food trucks and a gated beer garden on site to finish off the summer right.

Bring a chair or picnic blanket to Olympic Plaza and enjoy the distinctly Calgary vibes at this free outdoor show.
