On your next trip to the mountains, warm up with a hot chocolate during Banff’s Hot Chocolate Trail, a festival celebrating everyone’s favourite winter beverage. From November 17 to December 31, 2023, visit some of the 24 participating businesses to try creative, holiday-themed hot chocolates.

During this seasonal festival, there are 36 chocolatey creations at Banff restaurants and cafés, with alcoholic and non-alcoholic hot chocolates available. Head downtown and try Magpie & Stump‘s alcoholic interpretation, a chocolate-infused coffee with Park vanilla vodka, creme de menthe and spicy chocolate shavings to top it off (there is also a non-alcoholic version of this one). Or try Bluebird Restaurant & Lobby Bar‘s take on hot chocolate, with coconut and vanilla vodka and coconut foam.

A full list of participating restaurants and cafés, along with their hot chocolate offerings, can be found at banfflakelouise.com.
