Canmore has a new luxury hotel destination. MTN House by Basecamp is the latest hotel from Basecamp Resorts, which has 10 other mountain properties to its name in Alberta and B.C.

Formerly Holiday Inn Canmore, the three-storey building has been transformed into a comfortable yet upscale home-away-from-home with 99 renovated guest rooms, concierge e-bike rentals, shuttle services and a lobby lounge with features like a fishing hut photo booth, local art and a two-sided wood-burning fireplace.

And that’s not all — several additional amenities will be available in the coming months as well. Rhythm & Howl, the hotel’s 91-seat restaurant, café and bar, currently offers in-room dining but will be opening for dine-in service in September 2023. A communal outdoor hot tub is also set to open soon.

For those who want to be pampered, MTN House will be launching its indoor spa in spring 2024. The hotel will also be the site of the first Nordic spa in Canmore, which means guests and visitors can look forward to dry and wet saunas, massage services and hydrotherapy experiences in winter 2024.
