Step into a new dimension with SnapShot!, Calgary’s first indoor anamorphic art gallery.

Located within the PowerPlay entertainment centre in Southcentre Mall, this 3D art museum treats guests to a larger-than-life experience with 17 immersive murals. What makes the experience unique is that the murals are brought to life through distortion. The anamorphic technique combines art, mathematics and science to create optical illusions that are achieved without technology.

The gallery was curated by renowned chalk artist and street painter Tracy Lee Stum, who completed the 2,300-square-foot exhibit alongside a team of nine international artists.

The murals feature everything from mountain landscapes you appear to topple on the edge of to familiar woodland friends that seem ready to jump off the walls.

The gallery is open seven days a week, with single and group passes available starting at $18.
