Telus Spark is bringing tons of science fun right to our homes with its collection of online programming, Spark Science From Home.
The science centre has filmed more than a dozen experiments and activities for children and families to try at home, including how to make DIY liquid rainbows, a CO2 fire extinguisher and milk plastic. There are also Wonder Bucket videos featuring expert answers to science questions and virtual summer camps in July and August.
Calgarians can also tune in for Telus Spark’s live online events, with past ones featuring virtual tours of the Body Worlds: Animal Inside Out exhibit and a live magic show. Upcoming live events include a talk about space with astrophysicist Nathalie Ouelette (June 11 on FB and YouTube Live) and a volcano Q&A (June 17 on Facebook and YouTube Live).
Finally, be sure to check out Telus Spark’s online store once you’re done getting your science on. The shop is full of fun items for adults and children alike, including educational toys, science-inspired beer glasses, apparel, books, space products and more.
