An affogato offers the perfect blend of hot and cold. The Italian dessert, which features a scoop of ice cream with a shot of hot espresso poured on top, is a secret menu option at select Good Earth Coffeehouse locations in Calgary. The treat is $5.25. After 3 p.m., you can even order it with liqueur.
Currently, affogatos are only available at the two Calgary locations that serve ice cream: the original location on 11 St. S.W. and the Cranston Market location. But there are plans to introduce ice cream (and therefore affogatos) at a third Calgary location soon.
