CJSW remains committed to promoting diverse and underrepresented voices and takes pride in its range of music, spoken word and cultural programs, presented in more than 10 languages.
Regular programming on CJSW includes live performance sessions, on-location remote broadcasts, in-house-produced podcasts and curated interviews, highlighting the many amazing things happening across Treaty 7 land.

2026 Funding Drive
To keep producing its programming, CJSW holds an annual fundraising drive every October, the largest campus and community radio station fundraising campaign in Canada. It’s the one time of the year CJSW calls on its listeners to support the station they love.
“We always have been, and always will be, powered by people,” says Logan Pollon, Marketing and Development Director.
This year’s campaign launched on October 1 and will be crowned by an eight-day radiothon, running from October 23 at 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on October 30. During the radiothon, listeners can donate to support the year-round work of CJSW, with special incentives like exclusive merch and local discount cards. The theme of the 2026 Fundraising Drive is Brave New Airwaves.
“The concept draws from many sources, but the message is quite simple. We aim to highlight the creativity that our programmers, volunteers and employees bring to the station, and celebrate the spirit of inspiration, innovation and revolution behind all that we do and share with our community,” explains Pollon.
“We take pride in the diverse voices we broadcast on-air. We resist the pressure to conform by remaining at the forefront of societal progress. Our airwaves are more important now than ever, and our listeners can feel it in the air,” Pollon continues.
The time is now to show support for independent media — the campaign is officially underway, and CJSW is accepting donations ahead of the radiothon. Keep an eye out for epic events throughout the month in support of the radio station and its work.

Money received from supporters is directly responsible for the quality of service CJSW is able to provide to the community. Funds from the drive cover the cost of all aspects of CJSW’s operations, from tower leases to website maintenance, as well as equipment upgrades and public activations throughout the city at festivals and events..
