Best Neighbourhoods 2018: Calgary Neighbourhoods with the Best Access to Restaurants, Cafes and Bars

Using the record of business licenses, we gave each neighbourhood a score based on number and type of restaurants in its borders.

Perhaps it’s unsurprising that access to restaurants, cafs and bars is important to Avenue readers, given the amount of dining coverage we do. In our 2018 Best Neighbourhoods Survey, respondents ranked it among the most important characteristics of a great place to live. Using the City of Calgary’s business license data, we scored every residential neighbourhood on restaurant access inside its borders.
