Every year, Avenue celebrates the movers and shakers that are driving progress in Calgary. On October 26, hundreds gathered to honour the Top 40 Under 40 Class of 2022, presented by connectFirst Credit Union and the University of Calgary. While these inspirational Calgarians have achieved success on a personal level, they are also making strides to benefit their communities.
The evening kicked off with congratulations from sponsors and Mayor Jyoti Gondek, as well as a Champagne toast to this years’ honourees, provided by Pacific Wines and Spirits. Afterwards, Global News anchor Dallas Flexhaug introduced the 2022 Top 40s as they took to the stage during the awards ceremony. The procession was followed by a performance by Sargeant X Comrade and a cocktail reception where friends, family, business partners and community members got to mix, mingle and celebrate. In addition, a connectFirst Credit Union activation featured Lethrbar making custom leather cord holders for guests, Bowmore Whisky was offering samples and Devour Catering made a variety of appetizers and hors d’oeuvres.
