Calgary designer Alykhan Velji of Alykhan Velji Designs has teamed up with Toronto’s Silva Custom Furniture to create a new furniture collection called Modern Heritage. Blending modern and Old World aesthetics, the customizable collection was designed by Velji and includes footstools with a pleated or fringe trim, tufted sofas, a swivel chair with floating arms and more. We’ve got our eye on the Soho bed, which would add an eye-catching touch to any bedroom with its tiered headboard and bun feet. Browse the collection and make inquiries through Alykhan Velji Designs’ website.

Gathering around the dinner table for supper just got a little more stylish. The new Frame collection by Canadian furniture company Sundays includes this solid wood dining table that comes in oak or American walnut. The balance of the tabletop’s rounded bullnose edge with the angled legs creates a striking and sophisticated effect.

When it comes to adding visual interest to the walls of your home, mirrors can often work just as well as artwork. That’s particularly the case with IKEA’s new Lindbyn mirror, with its slim, rectangular shape that allows you to hang it horizontally, vertically or a combination of both using multiple mirrors. The rounded aluminum frame also adds a subtle yet impactful burst of red that brightens the space.
