Throughout the year, Alberta on the Plate (AOTP) celebrates local restaurants, producers, farmers, destinations and businesses by sharing local food stories.

Each year, AOTP is known for hosting a province-wide festival celebrating the bounty of Alberta. During the festival, which takes place from August 8 to 17 this year, participating restaurants offer multi-course, fixed-price menus or signature dishes. The participants put a spotlight on local producers and ingredients through the featured dishes they offer during the festival. They also highlight local beer and spirit producers through recommended pairings available at an extra charge, making it an ultra-local dining experience.

This year, there are dozens of participating establishments across Alberta, including many in Calgary. Diners can find the special AOTP menus/dishes that each establishment is offering (and learn more about their stories) by clicking on each restaurant listed on albertaontheplate.com.
