Throughout the year, Alberta on the Plate (AOTP) celebrates local restaurants, producers, farmers, destinations and businesses by sharing local food stories.
Each year, AOTP is known for hosting a province-wide festival celebrating the bounty of Alberta. During the festival, which takes place from August 11 to 20 this year, participating restaurants offer multi-course, fixed-price menus or signature dishes. The participants range from fine-dining restaurants to breweries, who all put a spotlight on local distillers, brewers, producers and growers through the items they offer during the festival.
This year, there are 93 participating establishments across Alberta and 11 of them can be found in the Rocky Mountains. Diners can find the special AOTP menus that each establishment is offering (and learn more about their stories) by clicking on each restaurant listed on albertaontheplate.com.
