The 2026 list of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants has officially been revealed, and some of Calgary’s most popular dining spots made the cut.

This year, six Calgary restaurants made the 100 Best Restaurants list: Eight (#9), DOPO (#28), River Café (#42), Bar Gigi (#65), Gatsby’s (#74) and Nupo (#75). Most of these restaurants also appeared on Avenue‘s 2026 lists of the best overall and new restaurants in Calgary.

Only one other Alberta restaurant, Canmore’s Änkôr, also made this year’s list of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants, coming in at #25.

While no Alberta restaurants made the 2026 list for Canada’s Best New Restaurants, this year saw the arrival of a new unranked list called Canada’s 100 Best Recommends, which highlights great casual dining spots. Calgary spots like Penny Crown and Francine’s made that list, as well as Canmore’s Sauvage.

Calgary also left its mark on the 2026 list of Canada’s Best Bars, which includes popular Calgary spots like Missy’s This That (#9), Shelter Cocktail Bar (#20), Business & Pleasure (#21), Proof (#29), Paper Lantern (#33) and Rain Dog Bar (#36). One Edmonton bar also made the list.
