Calgary company Hung’s Noodles is commemorating its 40th anniversary with a new festival that’s all about great noodle dishes and celebrating Asian culture. A partnership with Roots Collective that runs from November 16 to 26, YYC Noodle Festival highlights different noodle dishes from local restaurants in support of Calgary Meals on Wheels.

There are 10 participating businesses: ExpatAsia, Lonely Mouth, Goro + Gun, Mamak Dang Malaysian Fusion Cuisine, Pure Street Food, Nan’s Noodle House, Lambo Noodle Bar, Cafe 100% YYC, Golden Bell YYC and White Elephant. Between them, there’s a noodle dish for everyone, with options ranging from garlic truffle seafood with creamy spaghetti to ginger scallion noodles.

Once you’ve tried some of the dishes, you can rate your favourites online to help determine the most creative dish and the top-rated dish. There will also be an award for the most noodle dishes sold.
