Guac-heads of Calgary, unite! For those who loyally follow the Chipotle Mexican Grill bandwagon, it’s been a long wait, but the city’s first Chipotle restaurant has officially opened its doors. Whether you get a burrito or bowl, or an extra scoop of guacamole or sour cream, you can now satisfy your Mexican food cravings at the new location in Sunridge.
The American fast-casual chain’s Calgary location is one of 10 new Canadian locations opened in 2023. It’s also Canada’s third location with a drive-thru “Chipotlane” where customers can order in advance online and pick up at the window.
The menu offers all the usual favourites like burritos, tacos, bowls and quesadillas with various meats (including carne asada, for a limited time), veggies and sauces. And yes, that includes the magical guacamole that has gained Chipotle its cult-like following.
