8 New Calgary Restaurants Opening in 2025

Aloha Modern Kitchen

Get ready for Hawaiian-inspired fare at Aloha Modern Kitchen. At this new restaurant from The J Spot team, expect dishes like loco moco, garlic noodles, spam musubi and more.

Doughnut Party

This Edmonton-based doughnut company opened its first Calgary location in Inglewood in 2024. Now, the team is expanding with another doughnut shop location in Marda Loop. Keep your eyes out for this tasty new addition in March.

Kati Kati

If you have a sweet tooth, head to Chinatown to try this new dessert café offering Thai flavours and fusion desserts. Kati Kati launched its soft opening on January 16 and is whipping up treats like Thai tea bingsu served with a tempting cream cheese topping, several croffle flavours and butter waffles with toppings ranging from pandan coconut custard to salted egg yolk sauce.

Koko Cups

Located in Beebop Doughnut’s former space, Koko Cups is the newest eatery to join the Mission neighbourhood. The Korean street food restaurant will be in its soft opening phase starting January 16.

Koko Japanese Eatery + Convenience

This new Japanese restaurant and convenience store opened on 17th Avenue S.W. at the start of January and offers a mix of made-to-order dishes, grab-and-go items and packaged snacks and treats. The menu includes sushi burritos, poke bowls, curry karaage don, spicy tonkotsu ramen and more.

Sansotei Ramen

Back in August, this popular Toronto-based ramen chain announced it would open a Calgary location in 2025. The brand is known for its tonkotsu ramen featuring house-made bone broth.

Semantics Cafe

There will soon be a new spot to get your coffee fix in the Beltline. Watch for Semantics Cafe, which aims “to be a hub for Calgary creatives across all mediums.”
