During the COVID-19 pandemic, more and more Calgarians have opted to have their groceries and meals delivered to their home. That task is now easier (and even more supportive of local businesses) with the launch of a new food delivery service, Best of Calgary Foods.
The owner-operated delivery service showcases food products from 24 local businesses on one website and delivers orders directly to Calgary homes. The new venture benefits both the businesses and customers alike: Having its own delivery collective means the participating businesses can continue to get products into homes while avoiding third-party delivery company fees. Meanwhile, customers can support local, get goods from up to two dozen vendors in one order and avoid multiple delivery fees.
From produce and meat to baked goods and wine, customers can easily cover their grocery needs between the 24 participating food businesses. The full vendor list includes 2 Greek Gals, Glamorgan Bakery, Gull Valley Growers, Lambtastic Farms, Pie Cloud, Richmond Hill Wines, Tres Marias, Village Brewery and more.
Head to bestofcalgaryfoods.com to shop the wide selection of food and place your order online. Best of Calgary Foods offers $10 delivery from 3 p.m to 8 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays. Friday at 11:59 p.m. is the order deadline to get delivery the following week.
