10 Next-Level Stampede Breakfasts to Check Out This Year

Fill your belly at these 2026 Stampede breakfasts that offer a little something extra, from art exhibitions to pink pancakes in support of a good cause.

During the Calgary Stampede season, there’s no better way to start your morning than at a Stampede breakfast. Featuring pancakes, sausage, cultural dishes and more, these breakfasts hosted by local businesses, community associations and other organizations are a great way to connect with your local community while enjoying a delicious meal. Plus, many are free to attend.

While there are dozens of great breakfasts to choose from around the city, these are a few of the ones that offer a memorable experience that goes above and beyond.

 

First Flip

When: July 2, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

One of the first pancake breakfasts to kick things off each year, First Flip is a massive breakfast experience that takes place along Stephen Avenue. Fill up on pancakes while taking in entertainment and music by Green Fools Theatre Society, Pearl White Quills & Darcy Turning Robe, Kylie Austin, Chinook Country Line Dancers and The Frontiers.

Fourth Street Pancake Showdown

When: July 2, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Why get one type of pancake when you could try 13? At the free Fourth Street Pancake Showdown, 13 businesses located along 4th Street S.W. in Mission will be whipping up different flavours of pancakes in pursuit of the Golden Spatula Award. Make your way down the street to try creations like rose and raspberry puff pancakes from The Gardens by Marlow, sweet and savoury donair pancakes from Blowers & Grafton, bourbon peach pancakes from Joyce on 4th and more.

The Ismaili Muslim Community’s 29th Annual Stampede Breakfast

When: July 4, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Calgarians come out in droves for this popular Stampede breakfast complete with pancakes, bharazi (a pigeon peas dish) and other tasty fare. Held in partnership with Generations Calgary Multi Generational Housing & Community Centre, this year’s event also offers attendees the opportunity to check out a Aga Khan Foundation Canada travelling exhibition called “Our Purpose, Our Potential.”

Omo’s 9th Annual Green Tea Pancake Stampede Breakfast

When: July 4, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

This Japanese restaurant takes its Stampede breakfast to the next level by offering green tea pancakes at its annual event. That, plus live music, games, prizes and more, are just some of the things that make this a great breakfast to check out.

Vegan Pancake Breakfast

When: July 4, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Canela, the popular vegan café and bakery in Inglewood, is once again hosting this annual free vegan pancake breakfast in partnership with The City of Calgary, the Inglewood Business Improvement Area, Boomer’s Haven – Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, Canadian Heritage Roasting Co. and Gordon Food Service Store. Expect a morning of music and tasty vegan bites, including coffee, juice, fruit salad and, of course, pancakes..

Acadia Stampede Breakfast

When: July 4, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (breakfast runs to 11 a.m.)

A petting zoo, line dance performances, a big band, western-themed games and crafts — expect all this and more at the Acadia Community Association’s Stampede breakfast. Snack on sausages and pancakes while enjoying the festivities. Breakfast is free, while activities are free for members and $5 plus GST for non-members.

Almusal Stampede Breakfast

When: July 5, 2026, starting at 7 a.m. (while supplies last)

This Filipino Stampede breakfast event is back for its 11th year on July 5th. Head to the parking lot of Pacific Hut Restaurant for a morning of music, dancing, cultural performances and delicious breakfast fare like eggs, garlic fried rice, longganisa, pandesal and more.

Triwood Community Association Stampede Breakfast

When: July 5, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A free pancake breakfast (up to 2,000 plates) is just the start of the festivities at this event by the Triwood Community Association. Guests can also enjoy wagon rides, an antique car show and shine, line dancing and more.

17th Annual Pink Pancake Stampede Breakfast

When: July 8, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Pink pancakes and a worthy cause take the spotlight at this Stampede breakfast. Held in support of the Canadian Cancer Society and CIBC Run for the Cure, this promises to be a delicious morning filled with free pink pancakes and entertainment in Southcentre Mall’s south parking lot. The event will also have more information about the run and donations.

Contemporary Calgary Pancake Breakfast

When: July 9, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Enjoy some art with your pancakes at Contemporary Calgary. Held in the art gallery’s front plaza, this event features free pancakes, treats from Art Café, live music, drop-in line dancing tutorials and art activities.
