Over the past seven years, BUMP Festival has brought more than 120 colourful, vibrant murals to Calgary neighbourhoods. For those intrigued by the massive art pieces, BUMP has introduced a new way to engage with the murals year-round.

Following the support of its guided tours in summer 2023, BUMP has launched a new year-round mural tour program to showcase the different murals created during its summer festivals. During the month of August, BUMP commissions local and international artists to create murals around the city, allowing Calgarians to watch the creative process and attend events to learn about the artists and the undertaking of mural installations.

The BUMP Mural Tours program, which is a partnership between BUMP and Travel Alberta, aims to share the stories behind the larger-than-life public artworks and celebrate Calgary’s vibrant art community.

The program’s first tour option is the BUMP Classic Tour, which is led by BUMP tour guides and features more than 20 Beltline murals created by a diverse group of artists. The two-hour tour runs on Saturdays and Sundays starting from the High Park parkade. Tickets for the tour are $30 for adults and $15 for youth. The plan is to eventually introduce more unique guided tour routes throughout the city.
