Available as part of Pasta La Feasta, which runs throughout October, this dish with conchigle pasta, miso alfredo sauce, sweet maple smoked salmon and chives is inspired by the hit TV show Heated Rivalry. $3 from each order of it will go towards supporting The Alex Community Food Centre during Pasta La Feasta.

Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream Cake from Made by Marcus

Thanksgiving is fast approaching, and while you could opt for a traditional pumpkin pie with ice cream, Made by Marcus is combining the best of both worlds with its limited-time pumpkin pie ice cream cake. Available starting October 7, the cake features pumpkin spice ice cream, a torched marshmallow layer, caramel glaze, chocolate disks and meringues, all on a gluten-free graham cracker base.

Witches Brew Dirty Soda from Over the Top Pop Shop

The dirty soda trend continues to grow in Calgary with a new destination to get your fill. Over the Top offers a wide range of dirty soda options, as well as ice cream, popcorn and more. Visit this new spot and try one of the drinks from its Halloween specialty menu, which includes the Witches Brew made with Sprite, blue raspberry and grape, then topped with whipped cream, a raspberry puree drizzle and a gummy worm and eyeball that add a fun, spooky vibe.

YYC Pizza Fest is back until October 18, and there are more than 20 creative pizza creations to try. Perhaps the most creative of all is the pizza-inspired soft serve from Tat’s Treats, which features a vanilla soft serve mixed with Hawkins Cheezies and a hot honey drizzle and candied pepperoni as toppings. Part of the proceeds from each order of this dish will go to Calgary Meals on Wheels.
