The 2016 Best Restaurants Judges

Our judges are some of the foremost eaters in the city, dining out several times a week, all year long, year after year, typically on their own dime. Their evaluations are based on quality, originality and presentation as well as service, ambiance, value (different than price) and overall impression.

Rosemary Bacovsky

She has dined at a majority of the restaurants on the S.Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants List. She supports her food passions through her work as a consultant-pharmacist.

Dan Clapson

Dan Clapson’s four cornerstones are cooking, eating, learning and writing. He travels across the country discovering what makes Canada’s food scene great. He writes for many media sources including The Globe and Mail, Avenue, Food Network Canada, Culinaire and eatnorth.com. Watch him on Global TV Calgary as its restaurant correspondent and hear him every Friday on 660News radio.
