Foodies in the Park, the pop-up dining concept by Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant, is launching an Alice in Wonderland-themed dome dinner from October 1 to November 1.

During the Wonderland Dome Dining experience, guests dine inside one of 17 plexiglass garden domes that provide physical distancing while you eat. The domes are equipped for any season, which means you don’t need to worry about weather during your meal in the restaurant’s Artisan Gardens.

The Alice in Wonderland-themed dinners, which were initially slated for spring 2020 but postponed due to the pandemic, follow a successful summer where the restaurant offered dome dinners featuring French and Mediterranean cuisine. Nods to Alice in Wonderland are weaved into both the food and decor, and guests get to choose from three multi-course menus for $110 each. The menus feature playfully named dishes like the “Off With His Head” Icelandic cod loin, the “Caterpillar’s Mushroom” tuxedo lentil picadillo and “The Dodo’s Prize” crispy duck leg confit.

Reservations for the dome dining experience can be made for groups of four to six adults for any of the three evening sittings each night, ensuring that you are dining only with your own cohort. Children are welcome to attend with any group of at least four adults and there is a dedicated children’s menu available upon request.

If dinner plans are not in the cards for you, Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant is also offering a Queen of Hearts Afternoon Tea at noon every Saturday and Sunday in October. The afternoon sitting ($75 each) includes a selection of fresh scones, tea sandwiches, canapés, French pastries and sweets accompanied by tea or brewed coffee.

Tickets for the Wonderland Dome Dining or the Queen of Hearts Afternoon Tea are available online now.
