Calgary is buzzing over the arrival of Shake Shack. The popular American burger chain expanded to Canada with its first Toronto location in 2024, and now, it’s opened its first Alberta restaurant in Calgary’s CF Chinook Centre.
While all the beloved Shake Shack menu items like the ShackBurger and shakes are present, Calgary diners can also look forward to plenty of Alberta-exclusive menu items and local partnerships that set this location apart.

The Calgary menu is full of items featuring locally sourced ingredients or made by local companies. The burgers feature Alberta beef from Lacombe’s Beretta Farms, the Prairie Berry Shake is made with Saskatoon berries sourced from Prairie Berries, and there’s an Oh My Honey Pie concrete (a frozen custard dessert with various mix-in toppings) featuring Pie Junkie’s salted honey pie. On the drink side, there’s a ShackMeister Ale brewed by Minhas Brewery, a canned passion fruit mojito cocktail by Burwood Distillery and Eighty-Eight Brewing Company‘s Wave Pool Tropical IPA and Night Gallery Hazy Pale Ale beers.

Some menu items you can only get at the Alberta location, including the Prairie Berry Shake and Oh My Honey Pie concrete.
Notably, those who purchase a More S’mores Concrete will see five per cent of the sales go to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, while five per cent of sales from still and sparkling bottled water will support Canadian charity Water First.
Guests can enjoy it all in a space decorated with colourful, Calgary-themed murals, which were created by Calgary artist Irene Neyman.
