Be’O

A sign inside says “Everything Is Gonna BE’O-kay,” and once you taste the matcha drinks and desserts here, you’ll believe it. From the doughnut-making geniuses over at Greedy Donut comes the new matcha cafe Be’O. Try various matcha desserts including the matcha cookie, cheesecake and tiramisu. If you need a matcha palette cleanser, Be’O also offers several Greedy Donut flavours (though there’s a matcha one too, of course).

Chocoberry London

This beloved U.K. dessert café has over 34 locations around the world, and just opened its first Canadian location in Kensington this past March. Known for its all-day brunch, photo-worthy desserts and specialty coffee, Chocoberry makes a great spot for a date or brunching with friends. Try the waffle bites dressed up with chocolate and strawberries, or a slice of the shop’s signature San Sebastian cheesecake.

Choux & C

Authentic French cream puffs are the pièce de résistance at Marda Loop’s Choux & C bakery and café. The cream puffs come in a range of flavours including pistachio, coconut passionfruit and lemon. Founded by a husband and wife duo, the couple brings the knowledge from their respective backgrounds in coffee and wine to offer the perfect pairings for your choux à la crème. The shop serves Monogram Coffee, and along with cream puffs, it offers a variety of other French pastries.

Craig’s Cookies

Originally starting out as a side hustle for founder Craig Pike back in 2012, Craig’s Cookies now has multiple storefronts across Canada. This past December, it came to Calgary. The menu features tons of cookie flavours and frequent limited edition offerings, so there’s always something new to try. For fans of the classics, you can’t go wrong with Craig’s classic chocolate chip cookie, which comes in regular, gluten-free and vegan varieties.

Explode Dessert Cafe

With its pink walls and yellow, cloud-shaped light fixtures, this trendy new spot in northeast Calgary is a great place to enjoy a sweet treat. Sample housemade cheesecakes, doughnuts, gelato and more, or try something savoury from the lunch menu.

Pâte Sucrée

Originally a home-based business, small-batch brioche doughnut shop Pâte Sucrée opened its brick-and-mortar storefront this past November. Now you can try a variety of filled donuts in person, with flavours ranging from classic raspberry jam to a cream cheese-filled everything bagel doughnut.

Pâtisseries Louise

For fans of beautiful and decadent desserts, Pâtisseries Louise is a must visit. Founded by pastry chef Louise Tondah and her husband as an online business in 2024, Pâtisseries Louise opened the doors to its boutique shop in December 2025. From the Parisian flan to the mille-feuille, these treats are almost too pretty to eat.

Rahat Bakery

Rahat Bakery was first established in 1950, and now the chain has brought its Pakistani pastries and baked goods to Calgary. Try the famous almond and pineapple cakes, or a variety of savoury goodies. Just like at other Rahat Bakery locations around the world, everything here is halal.

Super Crunch Tanghulu

Tanghulu is a traditional Chinese dessert of skewered fruit coated in melted sugar. The result is a crunchy, fresh and sweet snack, and now you can try it at Super Crunch Tanghulu in CF Market Mall. Choose from skewers with various fruit combinations consisting of strawberries, grapes, blueberries, Mandarin oranges and/or pineapple. Tat’s Treats

We all know cereal milk is the best part of cereal, and now, it’s ice cream. In a tiny shop in Marda Loop, you’ll find the newly opened Tat’s Treats, an ice cream shop specializing in cereal-infused soft serve. Every bowl promises to evoke childhood memories, with offerings infused with Rice Krispies, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Reese’s Puffs and more of your nostalgic favourites.
