Chix Egg Shop is back after a hiatus and it now offers bone-in fried chicken. This East Village restaurant is already known for its breakfast sandwiches, and this new addition to the menu looks seriously tasty too. Choose from six or 12 pieces and make it a meal with potato wedges, salad and a jumbo chocolate chip cookie. Available for takeout or delivery through SkipTheDishes.

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with tacos from either of Unimarket’s two Calgary locations. You can’t dine in, but you can get some authentic tacos to-go. We suggest the birria, al pastor and chicken tinga. Unimarket is also doing Cinco de Mayo Fiesta Packs with everything from tacos to ingredients to make your own Paloma cocktail. These are selling out quickly, so order sooner than later.

Just the thought of biting into a juicy peach makes our mouths water. Luckily, there’s Village Ice Cream’s new peach jam seasonal ice cream flavour. It’s gluten-friendly, made with a peach and vanilla base and swirled with house-made peach jam. You can get a scoop or a pint at all four Calgary locations.
