Where to Eat on Father’s Day in Calgary

These local restaurants, breweries and attractions are offering special dining experiences and menus for Father’s Day.

With Mother’s Day behind us, it’s now dad’s turn for some pampering. On June 16, take him out to one of these local restaurants, breweries or attractions for a special dining experience.

 

Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant

Head to this historic ranch house in Fish Creek Provincial Park for a memorable brunch experience with dad. Choose from dishes like steak and eggs, smoked salmon eggs Benedict, fried chicken on Belgian waffles, soufflé pancakes, meatball arancini and more. Calgary Zoo

The Calgary Zoo’s weekly Safari Brunch will feature a special Father’s Day menu to celebrate dad, complete with classic and gourmet brunch options. Choose from a buffet of fresh baked fruit tulip muffins and croissants, country-style hash browns, cucumber watermelon salad and house-smoked St. Louis ribs. Be sure to save room for dessert, as there will be a free-flowing chocolate fountain and a deluxe dessert bar.

Century Downs Racetrack and Casino

Let dad put his golf skills to the test at Century Downs’ putting contest, which is part of the racetrack and casino’s Father’s Day barbecue brunch. Whether he wins or loses, he’ll be treated to a wide selection of barbecue, including hot dogs, hamburgers, jerk chicken, brisket and more. The brunch will take place in Century Downs’ outdoor event tent starting at noon.

Craft Beer Market is celebrating Father’s Day in grand fashion by pairing their huge draft beer selection with an extensive brunch buffet. The Glenmore Inn & Convention Centre is offering both a brunch and dinner buffet for Father’s Day. At brunch, enjoy breakfast classics like eggs Benedict, made-to-order omelets and maple bacon, along with grilled seafood and carving stations. For dinner, the buffet will feature sour cream and chives mashed potatoes, roasted turkey and shrimp fried basmati rice. Reservations are required for both buffets.

Hutch Kitchen and New Level Brewing are celebrating Father’s Day a day early with craft beer and a barbecue on June 15. Enjoy a beer from New Level Brewing with a hot dog or hamburger for $5, with a portion of each sale going to the Calgary Prostate Cancer Centre. There will also be a photo booth, a bean bag toss and face painting for the kids. The grill will be fired up from noon until 5 p.m.

If your dad is a craft beer aficionado, Legend 7 Brewing may be the perfect spot for him this Father’s Day. Head to Spruce Meadows to enjoy a Father’s Day brunch buffet and a world-class jumping competition all in one spot.
