Looking for a quality pizza to take home for movie night? Look no further than Avatara Pizza. This busy spot on Memorial Drive N.W. also recently expanded to make room for a new baby (a food truck).

Avatara’s entire pizza selection is baked on whole-wheat, thin crusts (a 10.5-inch, gluten-free crust option is also available). The menu here is extensive and set to please all palates. If you’re a Hawaiian lover through and through, you’ll love the Mauie Wauwie (14-inch), layered with homemade barbecue sauce, pineapple, black forest ham and bacon and covered in gooey mozzarella. More adventurous? Try the Buddha (10-inch), a Thai-inspired pie, or The Guru (16-inch), made with butter chicken sauce, chicken, mango chutney, cilantro and cheese. If you’re vegan or lactose intolerant, this place has you covered, offering vegan and lactose-free cheese alternatives.

That new food truck with the same name is now zooming around town, so even if you’re a little too far outside of Avatara’s delivery zone, you may still be able to track a pizza down. (3406 3 Ave. N.W., 403-457-4992, @avataratweets)
