Age: 15 (Anastasia) and 17 (Mercedes)
Being young female entrepreneurs can be daunting and difficult, but sisters Anastasia and Mercedes Korngut are targeting what they see as a real growth market: happiness. As co-founders of Small Bits of Happiness, they create social media content to help other teens develop daily habits that increase happiness. The project has grown considerably in a short time, with an education platform — Learn Small Bits — and with products they have sold to teachers for use in schools in- and outside of Alberta. The girls tour teacher conventions, happiness summits and trade shows, exposing thousands of kids to their message, and host Hack Your Happiness, a podcast featuring Oscar-winners, Olympians and best-selling authors as guests.
