Ziya Bhayani’s list of clubs and activities is simply too long to mention. To name just a few: she has advocated for youth rights with the Young Canadians’ Parliament, delivered a Ted-Ed Talk on how experiencing wonder impacts our brain health, been recognized by the Canada-Wide Science Fair for her project studying music and brain hyperactivity, and helped seniors in her community take proactive steps to detect and protect against Alzheimer’s, dementia and other brain diseases. Living in India, then immigrating to the U.S., she immigrated to Canada in 2017 and has been recognized for her leadership, advocacy and community commitment, all before being old enough to vote.
