Numerous Calgary craft breweries and distilleries — as well as two cideries and one winery — have risen to the occasion in our current age of isolation. Dozens of them are now bringing beer, cider, wine, spirits and and a few other things right to your door. Check to see if your favourite is on this list or make it an adventure and order from somewhere you’ve been meaning to try.
All deliveries are within city limits only unless otherwise stated, and please know that circumstances may shift at any moment based on delivery capacity or new health guidelines. We will update this story with new information regularly, but the best information always comes directly from its source.
This brewery located in the Barley Belt is offering free delivery on orders of $50 or more. Deliveries arrive by 8 p.m. the day after the order is placed but there is no deliver on Sunday or Monday. You can buy beer, soda, merch, salty string cheese and gift cards. No pickup is available.

Banded Peak, which was recently acquired by Labatt, is offering both delivery and pickup. Delivery takes place seven days a week and same-day service is available for orders placed before 2 p.m. Delivery is free in Calgary unless an order falls short of a $20 total, in which case $5 will be added to your bill. Outlying communities beyond the city limits may be eligible for delivery but those customers should inquire before placing an order. Curbside pickup is also available between noon and 5 p.m. daily, be sure to pre-order online and call upon arrival.

The stalwart brewers at Big Rock are offering free delivery in Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto. Orders go out on Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m. for online orders received by the end of the previous days. There’s no fee or minimum order, but all orders must contain packaged beer or cider to be eligible for delivery. There will be no curbside pickup or in-person sales at this time.

In 2019, Cabin’s Super Saturation New England Pale Ale was named a finalist in Avenue‘s Made in Alberta Awards and the South Island Pie Co. meat pies were one of the year’s 25 Best Things to Eat. Citizen Brewing Company in Tuxedo is currently offering free beer delivery by the flat. The 24 cans on each flat can be any six four packs of whatever is in stock. Citizen also delivers glassware, house-made barbecue and hot sauces, its own brand of sparkling water, merch and gift cards. Gift cards are sold in $60 and $125 values which, at press time, are currently 20 per-cent off. Order before 5 p.m. and the Citizen team will do its best to deliver the next day during its delivery days of Wednesday to Sunday. Inglewood mainstay Cold Garden is currently offering delivery (by “garden gnome,” it jokes) for $5 or pickup at no additional charge. Pickup hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and delivery runs noon to 8 p.m. with a 5:30 p.m. cut-off time for same-day service. Gift cards and glassware are also available. Cold Garden is running a growler buy-back program right now, too: growlers (32oz and 64oz) brought in for a pickup order or left outside for a delivery driver to collect get you $5 Cold Garden credit.

Common Crown offers delivery Monday through Friday under the name “Project Beer Run.” Orders received by 5 p.m. will be delivered the same day and any placed after that time will arrive on the next business day. All deliveries cost $5 and you must buy at least two four-packs or spend $40 to be eligible for delivery. Its taproom is currently closed. The brewery has also recently launched a fundraising campaign for children’s mental health centre Wood’s Homes. Dubbed “feel-good happy hour,” the campaign will donate one dollar from all sales placed between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Marda Loop Brewing is offering delivery on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Orders are placed via Google Form before being processed by credit card or e-transfer, and the form has a detailed breakdown of various fees and requirements.
